PR Associate

We provide high-level communications support and expertise that drives results for our clients and their bottom line locally, regionally and nationally.

We’re searching for an Associate with proven PR and writing skills to join our team at SideCar Public Relations. SideCar’s home base is Denver, Colorado. This is a mid-level position with an emphasis on content production. You need to love writing and enjoy finding the perfect angle to tell compelling stories. The ideal candidate is self-starting, highly motivated and deadline-driven. This position also offers significant opportunity for growth.

Job Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the team to create high-quality original content (press releases, bylined articles, website copy, pitches, award submissions, newsletters and other collateral) for a variety of clients
Support several accounts at any given time and help with day-to-day client and media inquiries
Scan for and secure client media coverage and identify opportunities to enhance client visibility
Establish proficiency in client voices and tones
Adapt content for multiple social media channels and various audiences
Develop new media relationships and create media lists as necessary
Work with excellent attention to detail, taking pride in client success
Stay on top of industry trends, client competitors and related media coverage
Build detailed project reports with client media coverage, social media statistics and other KPIs
show up every day with professionalism and a willingness to pitch in wherever needed (humor doesn’t hurt either)

Preferred Qualifications

3-5 years of full-time PR experience (agency experience preferred)
A proven track record of creatively developing content for multiple clients, programs and communication channels
Near-perfect communication skills, both written and verbal
Serious familiarity with the AP Stylebook
A genuine passion for city-building and placemaking

Strong problem-solving skills and motivation to thrive in a deadline-driven environment
