Web + Graphic Design Associate

We’re searching for a mid-level Web & Graphic Design Associate with a knack for visual storytelling to join the SideCar team. We’re looking for someone to collaborate with our team to deliver exceptional branding pieces and communications deliverables for our clients. This position will support SideCar’s Creative Director with design and development of creative deliverables including logo concepts, print collateral, social media assets, and comprehensive websites. The ideal candidate is a creative thinker, detail oriented, highly motivated and deadline-driven. This position offers significant opportunity for growth.


Overall role:

  • Show a strong aptitude for creative problem solving by leveraging visual design fundamentals such as typographic hierarchy, color theory, layout principles
  • Detail-oriented, thorough, and meticulous in design execution; able to recognize and execute consistency in style, spacing, layout, etc. across design applications
  • Produce a variety of design assets within communications plans, including brand presentations, style guides, messaging decks, social media templates, websites and collateral.
  • Develop digital and print assets for B2B and B2C campaigns.
  • Create polished design that works across a variety of marketing channels.
  • Collaborate with team for creative brainstorms to influence communications strategies.
  • Work cross-functionally with Account Leads to take creative deliverables within briefs to the finish line with Creative Director.
  • Stay up-to-date and share current trends in web development and graphic design with internal team.
  • Be a strategic and conceptual thinker with the ability to recognize, develop and guide big ideas.
  • With supervision of Creative Director, adhere to estimates for projects and services pertaining to scope and budget.
  • Support quality control and consistency for all creative deliverables.

Branding & Graphic Design:

  • Collaboratively with Creative Director, develop and package brand voice, visual concepts, logo development and brand guidelines.
  • Ensure that brand strategy, segment strategies and brand voice are clearly manifested in best-in-class creative development.
  • Present key project concepts clearly and succinctly in person or in writing
  • Based on feedback from brand and client partners, refine and further develop concepts.
  • Create high-end print and digital collateral that compellingly communicates client stories, brands and platforms.
  • Work with SideCar PR leadership for B2B design needs, including new business proposals, website updates, social media assets and promotional materials.

Website Development:

  • Show a strong understanding of modern web design principles such as responsive design, flex box, web typography, WCAG accessibility, etc.
  • Develop and implement websites across several common platforms (E.g., WordPress, Elementor, WebFlow, SquareSpace)
  • Design and develop websites using Figma, WordPress and Elementor, with a working knowledge of PHP, HTML, CSS and JavaScript
  • Perform front-end web development with a strong understanding of visual code tools
  • Maintain, update and extend existing websites
  • Research, test and implement website plugins that are necessary to complete client requests and regular compliance updates
  • Understand and implement SEO best practices
  • Work within common web hosting platforms such as SiteGround, Bluehost, GoDaddy and make changes to DNS and other server-side settings
  • Utilize tools such as ManageWP and Sucuri to perform website maintenance and ensure security

We’d like for you to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree with relevant experience in graphic design
  • 3+ years of experience working with creative teams in an agency environment
  • A genuine passion for graphic design, branding and web development
  • Demonstrated experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign) and Figma
  • Experience working in the following digital platforms: WordPress, Elementor, WebFlow, SquareSpace, ManageWP, Sucuri, SiteGround, Bluehost and GoDaddy
  • Command of WordPress, with working knowledge of PHP, HTML, CSS and JavaScript
  • A portfolio that communicates your amazing work and demonstrates a strong command of typography and web design best practices
  • Experience working within existing graphic standards and brand guidelines
  • Experience in illustration, animation or motion design a plus
  • Experience in brand design, including logo development
  • Balance, and the ability to execute multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong communications and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Creative problem-solving skills

  • Strong ability to prioritize work and resources based on short- and long-term need

  • A competitive salary package ranging from $60,000 to $70,000/year
