Multimedia Associate

SideCar PR is a full-service, integrated communications firm specializing in commercial real estate, community-building and placemaking. Our clients are the developers, architects, designers, builders, and influencers who are elevating communities across the U.S. through their work in the built environment. We provide high-level communications support and expertise that drives results for our clients and their bottom line locally, regionally, and nationally.

 

We are looking for a Multimedia Associate to join our team. This position will collaborate with our team and clients to produce, shoot, edit and package content for a variety of digital platforms. The ideal candidate will drive multimedia production with our account leads, working cross-functionally to conceptualize and execute multimedia deliverables, including developing shot lists, preparing interview materials and graphics packages, shooting, editing and delivering all multimedia content for our clients. You will provide expert insight to develop and refine SideCar’s in-house production and post-production capabilities, inclusive of video filming, live broadcasting, podcasting, editing, animation, visual effects and sound recording.

Job Responsibilities

Be a one-person band in their field, while working within a collaborative team to:

  • Plan and execute video projects from pre-production through post-production to achieve compelling content while incorporating client tone and messaging 
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to conceptualize multimedia content ideas and strategies as part of integrated communications plans
  • Take ownership for pre-production, shooting, and assisting in production and post-production, editing from scratch, relying on creative instincts and industry best-practices
  • Collaborate on scripting, planning and production of filmed interviews, including setting up and tearing down cameras, audio recorders, lighting, microphones, and props on each shoot:

o   Determine what type of equipment to use on each shoot

o   Clean and disassemble hardware

o   Calibrate and maintain equipment

o   Perform small repairs on equipment as needed

  • Select and implement special visual effects, music, and special audio for each video shoot
  •  Convert outsourced videos to the proper format for different marketing channels
  • Collaborate with the team to create a final video product for multiple usages and formats including: social media, website, marketing, news packages, newsletters, etc. 
  • Work with team members and clients to evaluate what’s working and what’s not, and develop ongoing plans to exceed stakeholder and audience needs
  • Preparing background film or B-roll as well as live feed
  •  Inserting closed captioning, graphics, or other on-screen text into a video
  • Adding computer graphics and special effects to a video
  • Organize shot footage for post-production archives

 

Required Equipment 

  • Camera, lenses, lighting, microphones, and sound equipment

(SideCar does have additional equipment to build out your professional set.)

 

We’d like for you to have:

  •  Relevant bachelor’s or associate degree in Communications, Video Production, Film, Journalism, Editing, Video, Photography, Cinematography, Television
  •  2+ years agency experience 
  •  Experience in end-to-end content production for a variety of clients, including corporate clients
  •   Certification: BLS, AHA, FAA, CRF
  • Knowledge and mastery of: 

o   Lighting

o   Post-production

o   Microsoft Office

o   Adobe After Effects

o   Adobe Premiere

o   Apple Final Cut Pro X

  •  Strong sense of accountability with the ability to manage work autonomously 
  • Impeccable attention to detail with dedication to consistently delivering quality work 
  • Professional demeanor and presentation skills, both with team and with clients
  •  Pride in organization, with attention to timeline and budgets  
  •  A passion for placemaking and understanding of the power of the built environment 
  •  The ability to learn from and share with others
  •  Strong initiative and motivation to constantly experiment and improve upon each project
  •  Self-motivator who can generate ideas for projects independently and collaboratively, and communicate those ideas effectively to the team while working under tight deadlines

We’ll Include:

  • Salary range $60,000-$70,000, depending on experience
  • Nearby garage parking or transportation coverage
