Giving Tuesday: SideCar Gives Back

Giving Tuesday, held annually on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, was established in 2012 to remind us all of the power of generosity to transform our communities and beyond, particularly following Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday. This year marks the 10th annual giving holiday and the team at SideCar is proud to be participating in the day of “radical generosity.”

We are proud to call Denver our home and our community. We are especially appreciative of the people and organizations who work hard every day to make this city a better place for all of us. This Giving Tuesday, we are supporting four incredible organizations:

  • Denver Park Trust
The Denver Park Trust partners with historically underserved neighborhoods to enhance and expand parks and green spaces, both through fundraising for land acquisition and capital projects. We know that parks and green space have the power to improve quality of life, public health and even our economies and are grateful to the Denver Park Trust for their commitment to strengthening parks and public space across our city.

  • Denver Children’s Foundation
The Denver Children’s Foundation raises money on behalf of disadvantaged, at-risk youth in our local community. Almost 85% of the youth supported through their grants live in low-income or poverty conditions, represent communities of color and suffer disproportionately from the effects of social, health, and economic disparities. Children are the future of our city and thanks to the work done by the Denver Children’s Foundation future generations will be better set up for success.
  • The Center on Colfax
The Center on Colfax ensures that every member of the LGBTQ community has access to the programs and resources they need to live happy, healthy, and productive lives. SideCar is committed to diversity and inclusion and supporting the LGBTQ+ community is one way in which we celebrate, welcome and promote all people.

  • Volunteers of America
Volunteers of America is dedicated to helping those in need transform their lives. VOA’s services include housing and emergency shelters, hunger and nutrition services, and many other community support programs. We are proud to have them as our across-the-street neighbors and witness the important work they are doing firsthand.

We encourage you all to find an organization or a cause that means something to you and give back to them in whatever way you can this Giving Tuesday.
